What ages do you work with?
I works with adults over the age of 18.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are typically 55 minutes and may take place in person or over video or phone depending on your preference. (I am currently accepting new clients for video and phone only). All paperwork, payment and scheduling can be completed online through a secure client portal so that the time in session is fully available for the therapeutic process.
How frequently will we meet?
You may decide to meet with me weekly, bi-weekly, or on an as needed basis, and the frequency can be changed as your needs change. We may work together for a few months or ongoing for many years depending on your needs, goals and the scope of what you'd like to explore. You may want to work together for a shorter time period on a more targeted area of concern or more long term for ongoing support. We can discuss together what is the best fit for you and I will always encourage you to listen to you own intuition, wisdom and body about what feels right for you.
How is payment made, do you accept insurance and what is the cost?
Payment is due at the time of each appointment and can be made by credit, debit, FSA/HSA card, check or cash. I do not accept insurance directly and am considered an "Out of Network Provider." This means that clients make payments to the therapist directly and then monthly itemized receipts called "superbills" are provided that the client may submit to the insurance company for reimbursement. Different insurance companies offer different reimbursement rates and may have a deductible. If you plan to have therapy with an out of network provider reimbursed, be sure to contact your insurance company to learn the details. The cost per session is $200. I reserve a percentage of my available slots for clients in need of a reduced rate based on eligibility criteria.
What is your cancellation policy?
In order to respect the time of both you and I, and to ensure that appointment slots are available to you, I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Sessions cancelled within less than 48 hours are charged for the full rate except in the event of illness or emergency.
Offering in person sessions at 7000 Carroll Ave, Suite 200, Takoma Park, MD 20912 (three blocks from Takoma Metro Station). Remote video sessions are also available for clients located in DC & MD.
